About – Manufactured from marine grade stainless steel making it perfect for the most demanding environments. Designed to be stylish as well as practical, the reader is low profile and has inner and outer circles of light. This lighting arrangement is attractive and gives excellent visibility.
We have added Genuine HID Technology to the majority of our readers and they can now read HID 125kHz proximity tokens, when licensed with an activation card. If required these readers can still be enabled to have Wiegand output, via a separate activation card.
Installation – The reader is mounted onto the wall using the backplate and fixings provided.
It is suitable for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems and is wired using the colour coding on the control unit label.
Operation – A token is read by holding it close to the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is granted or denied as appropriate. If access is granted the reader is lit in green. If access is denied the reader is lit in red. At other times the reader is surrounded by a constant blue light. The blue light may be switched off or its intensity varied by presenting the supplied backlight dimming card.
