Smoke Detectors

Smoke detectors and heat detectors for intruder alarm systems. Conventional fire alarms use 24v or addressable whereas intruder alarms utilise 12v. Conventional fire alarms require complaince with the fire regulations (BS5839) but intrduer alarm smoke detectos do not meet the requirements of BS5839. SMoke detectors utilise a either an optical beam inside the detectore or an ionisation chamber. Heat detectors are available in fixed heat temperature such as 60 degrees C or Rate-of-rise where the heat detectors detects a rapid rise in temperature in a short period of time.
