PIR Detectors

PIR Motion Detectors

Passive Infrared (PIR) detectors sense movement by detecting changes in infrared (IR) radiation within their coverage area. At the core is a pyro sensor positioned behind a Fresnel lens or mirror, which expands the detection range by focusing IR signals onto the sensor. Dual-element pyro sensors enhance accuracy by identifying specific IR signatures as they pass through the optical lens or mirror system.

Our range includes models with features such as pet immunity, wide-angle coverage, or corridor-focused detection. Most hard-wired PIR detectors operate on 12V, with 24V variants also available. For cable-free installations, wireless PIR detectors are powered by long-lasting batteries—typically CR123, CR2, or AA cells.
