Kidde Conventional Detector Accessory Base
The NC-DB-W is an NC series surface mount first-fix base. It allows any NC Series conventional point detector to be inserted, removed or replaced without rewiring using an easy twist and lock action. There are no electrical components in the base.
The NC-DB-W supports a remote indicator connection.
Ease of Installation
Forming an integral part of the detector assembly, NC Series standard bases are provided with key-hole slots for screw fixing direct to ceiling structures or conduit boxes. Large rear cable entry allows for easy wiring to the base.
For special applications a base accessory is available for surface installations, ensuring an easy and practical installation.
Ease of Wiring & Testing
Clearly marked terminals ensure correct and secure wiring termination for zone and remote indicator connections.
Ease of Use
Inserting the NC Series detector into the base is accomplished with a simple turn and lock mechanism. To prevent unauthorised removal of a detector from its base, an easy-to-activate locking mechanism is incorporated into all NC series detectors. If activated, a detector can only be released from its base using a dedicated tool.
